About me
I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Heriot-Watt University.
My main research area is geometric group theory, specifically the study of group actions in presence of non-positive curvature. Lately, I have been particularly interested in Artin groups and their geometry.
Between March 2019 and Feburary 2022, I was the Project Lead of the EPSRC Project “Geometry of Artin Group Actions” (or GAGA for short).
Together with Laura Ciobanu, I am the coordinator of the North British Geometric Group Theory research network.
I am currently an editor of the Proceedings of the Edinburgh Mathematical Society (group theory and generalisations).
New: Postdoctoral position
I am currently advertising a 3-year postdoctoral position in geometric group theory, starting in September 2025, funded by the EPSRC project "The Geometry of the Isomorphism Problem for Artin Groups".
